Today, I would like to speak briefly about the Access to Community Services Act. This bill would allow you to continue to purchase your medications from your local pharmacist - not through a mandatory mail order program. All community pharmacies such as Hieber's Pharmacy are asking is that we have a level playing field. Why should you, the customer, have to pay more for your prescriptions just because you appreciate the personal touch of a community pharmacy as opposed to mail order?
Pennsylvania House Bill 511 and Senate Bill 201 would allow the customer to pay the same price for prescriptions, regardless of whether mail order or community pharmacy is preferred. We feel this is only fair, and will go a long way toward ensuring your favorite community pharmacist will remain in business for years to come.
If you are a Pennsylvania resident, please find your legislator at www.legis.stata.pa.us and click "find members by" - tell them to support the Access to Community Services Act. To read more, visit http://www.drugstorenews.com/article/pennsylvania-legislation-would-restrict-mail-order-pharmacy
